Gandia – Costa Blanca
Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Gandia – what? rewind. Gandia? Where’s that? I’ve never heard of Gandia.
Gandia is a large city on the east coast of Spain, less famous than its counterparts, but just as beguiling nonetheless. Gandia has not attracted much foreign tourism, much to the pleasure of the Spaniards who have the city all to themselves, but has the all the elements to provide the visitor with an authentic and distinctive experience.
With a thriving and bustling commercial centre, historical monuments and unique architecture, Gandia city centre is a working Spanish city, where the daily life of the citizens progresses without the impact of the international tourist industry.
Gandia beach, on the other hand, is a well-known and much-loved resort, frequented by Spaniards from all across the country, all keen to enjoy the miles and miles of soft, sandy beaches and the many traditional tapas bars and restaurants the area has to offer.

Moraira Marina
As a fishing village, the sea has been very important to Moraira. In 1985, the Marina and Moraira Club Náutico were built and have developed into one of the main nautical attractions of the Valencian Community. Many wealthy European’s moor their yachts here and can often be seen in the clubhouse enjoying a drink after a day on the seas. Whether you wish to charter a yacht or sailboat, or simply wander around the marina admiring the boats before heading off for a drink or a meal, Moraira has plenty to offer.

Moraira Shopping
The narrow, cobbled streets that run from the beach are home to a number of boutique clothing shops, where elegant women buy the latest designs to wear in the stylish bars that are decorated in a fusion of traditional and modern style and serve the aperitif’s that are enjoyed before moving on to one of Moraira’s excellent restaurants. As well as contemporary boutiques and fine jewellery retailers; stocking brands such as Tag Heuer and Omega, Moraira has some fine delicatessens where cured jamon serrano’s hang above counters, laden with fresh, vivid red and green peppers, nestled between huge jars of intense, peppery olives jostling for position with rich, golden manchego cheeses and smoky, red chorizo sausages.
As well as these delightful shops, Moraira also has the more traditional shops, where creamy ice-creams, crowned with crunchy biscuit and vibrant sauces, can be enjoyed and where a bucket and spade or a bat and ball can be bought to keep the children amused. In most streets, sandwiched between these shops are the bodegas: cool, shaded shops with impressive displays of wines and spirits.

Teulada Moraira
Teulada Moraira is a small holiday village in the Marina Alta area of Costa Blanca. It is located between Calpe and Denia and has a population of approximately 11,000 inhabitants. It truly is an ideal location for your holiday rental apartment or villa. Teulada is famous for its Moscatel vineyards and wine production.

The town hall and police station are located here as a re a number of small, local bars and cafe’s where you can watch the world go by whilst enjoying a coffee and a delightful cake. The second of Teulada Moraira’s town squares is the Plaza de la Creu. The square is unique as it still has ‘The Sea Doorway’; part of the original doorway in the wall which surrounded the town in medieval times. The last of the town squares in Teulada Moraira is the Church Square, which for almost any and all villages, towns and cities even nowadays, is the centre and most valued property for all locals.
The Bodega Cooperativa San Vicente Ferrer near the church is where you can taste and buy the famous Spanish Muscatel which is unique in all of Spain. Some other goods to look for would be the wicker furniture or objects, handbags and wrought iron articles and raisins all in close proximity of your self catering villa or town house.
Teulada is also close to the beach resort area of Moraira if a day in the sun is your fancy. It is easy to reach from your holiday rental villa or apartment and as most Costa Blanca beaches offers much to do. Windsurfing, kite-surfing and most general beach activities are on tap for your enjoyment.
As Teulada Moraira is located in the most easterly region of Spain, it enjoys a typically Mediterannean climate with 300+ days of sunshine per year. It is enjoyably hot during the summer and comfortably mild during the winter. The cooling, on-shore breeze ensures the summer heat never becomes unbearable and the stunning, mountains that shoulder the region, keep the cold, northerly wind at bay, ensuring winter temperatures are higher than those of other Costa Blanca towns.
