Moraira, Costa Blanca
Teulada-Moraira is one of the towns on the Costa Blanca. It is one of the main tourist towns that include Calpe, Altea, Benidorm, Javea, Denia and Gandia. Teulada-Moraira has stunning countryside, vineyards and over 8km of stunning coastline.
Moraira was once a small fishing village and even though the tourism industry has developed here, it has done so sympathetically and in a manner which enhances the village, so much so, that at its essence, Moraira has not changed significantly. The fisherman still fish, the auctions at the market are still bustling with restaurateurs eager to outbid each other to land the best fish for their menus, and the winemakers still tend to their vines, keen to ensure the quality of their Muscatel grapes.

Teulada Moraira
Teulada Moraira is a small holiday village in the Marina Alta area of Costa Blanca. It is located between Calpe and Denia and has a population of approximately 11,000 inhabitants. It truly is an ideal location for your holiday rental apartment or villa. Teulada is famous for its Moscatel vineyards and wine production.
Teulada Moraira has three town squares worth visiting from your holiday rental apartment. The newest and largest of these is Plaza de la Constitucion. The town hall and police station are located here as a re a number of small, local bars and cafe’s where you can watch the world go by whilst enjoying a coffee and a delightful cake. The second of Teulada Moraira’s town squares is the Plaza de la Creu. The square is unique as it still has ‘The Sea Doorway’; part of the original doorway in the wall which surrounded the town in medieval times. The last of the town squares in Teulada Moraira is the Church Square, which for almost any and all villages, towns and cities even nowadays, is the centre and most valued property for all locals.
The Bodega Cooperativa San Vicente Ferrer near the church is where you can taste and buy the famous Spanish Muscatel which is unique in all of Spain. Some other goods to look for would be the wicker furniture or objects, handbags and wrought iron articles and raisins all in close proximity of your self catering villa or town house.
Teulada is also close to the beach resort area of Moraira if a day in the sun is your fancy. It is easy to reach from your holiday rental villa or apartment and as most Costa Blanca beaches offers much to do. Windsurfing, kite-surfing and most general beach activities are on tap for your enjoyment.
As Teulada Moraira is located in the most easterly region of Spain, it enjoys a typically Mediterannean climate with 300+ days of sunshine per year. The World Health Organisation has described the Marina Alta region, of which Teulada Moraira is one the principal towns, as having one of the most environmentally perfect climates in the world. It is enjoyably hot during the summer and comfortably mild during the winter. The cooling, on-shore breeze ensures the summer heat never becomes unbearable and the stunning, mountains that shoulder the region, keep the cold, northerly wind at bay, ensuring winter temperatures are higher than those of other Costa Blanca towns.
In keeping with the rest of the Costa Blanca, there are many very good golf course for you to enjoy a few holes. Costa Blanca Golf has details of many of the best of these courses.
